Stained glass artist Hali Kalae Miller was born into an arts family and raised in the arts community of Port Townsend, Washington. Her mother, a watercolorist, designed newspaper pages and ads. Her father is a fiction writer and poet, her husband is a musician.
Hali learned design and color at the light tables of a weekly newspaper, the letterpress of a poetry publisher, and premier visual workshops of the arts foundation, Centrum. Hali’s college work included videography and TV news production. She is a native Hawaiian who supports women artists, indigenous art and kindness. Alice Glass Studio nestles in the woods just outside Port Townsend.
